Nursery Room Reveal

Dear Auntie Moonbeam

(Warning: the following post may contain a large number of exclamation points)

Dude!  I’m so stoked today!

Apparently, my enthusiasm is causing me to regress to teenage boy speak but I don’t care!

I know Mondays are usually sketch posting days but in the immortal words of the fabulous Pointer Sisters – I’m so excited and I just can’t hide it!

This weekend I had the great joy of setting up a nusery for a very dear, very pregnant friend.  She was brave enough to let the whole thing be a surprise which was a gas.  She knew the paint colour and pretty much nada past that point.

Let’s start with the before, shall we?

Pretty typical look for a room in process of being turned into something else, am I right?

Then comes the fun part – setting it all up.  Fortunately the room was painted before I got there (Preggers and I picked a lovely soft green colour).  All that was left was to add the finishing touches.

I’m gonna skip the write-up about what went on behind the scenes.  Hint: it looked like this:

Sneaky Daddy snapped this while I wasn't looking!

Instead of a going into a detailed account of what went down why don’t we acknowledge that it’s Monday morning and we don’t wanna read – we wanna revel in some quality decor porn, am I right?

Have at it!

Ahhhhh...that colour is so relaxing, n'est pas?

Gotta love it when the cat compliments the colour scheme!

Doesn't this just make ya wanna snuggle in with a wee one?

And happily the daddy-to-be is a photobug so I got some great bonus shots of me and Preggers enjoying the room.

I love that the cat is posing!

Sure I mighta been happier if I'd been wearing make-up for this shot but hey, look at Preggers, ain't she happy?

So there you go – two days spent happily in service of some of the funniest finest folk I know.

I’ll be doing follow-up posts to tell you more about all the little art projects scattered throughout the room.  Watch for that in days to come!
